I've known I wanted to be a journalist for a long time. It's a wonderful way to learn about the world and share it with others. It wasn't until after a few weeks of writing for the University of Missouri student newspaper, The Maneater, that I discovered science journalism. I soon found myself writing for the many research institutions like MU Bond Life Sciences Center and Johns Hopkins Medicine covering areas from plant science to biomedical research for a general readership.
